Data Analyst (m/w/d)

Ihre Aufgaben
  • Durchführung von Datenanalysen und Zusammenfassung finanzrelevanter Daten aus verschiedenen Abteilungen (i.e., Soll-Ist-Vergleiche, KPI, etc.)
  • Erstellung von Forecasts und Planungsgrundlagen im Bereich von Private Market Immobilienanlagestrategien (Private Equity Real Estate und Private Debt Real Estate) 
  • Durchführung von Backtests an Rohdaten zur Analyse sowie Auswertung von Investment-, Fonds- und Unternehmensdaten
  • Abteilungsübergreifende Beratung und Unterstützung bei der Datenerhebung sowie Erstellung von regelmässigen Ad-hoc-Analysen für die Geschäftsleitung
  • Steigerung der Datenqualität mittels geeigneter Instrumente sowie Weiterentwicklung vorhandener Erhebungsmethoden und Visualisierung der Ergebnisse
  • Ableitung von Entwicklungsvorschlägen zur Optimierung von Prozessen und Abläufen
  • Laufende Überwachung und Weiterentwicklung der BI sowie Simulation, Modeling und fortlaufende Optimierung neuer und bereits vorhandener Tools
Ihr Profil
  • Abgeschlossenes Studium mit finanzwirtschaftlichem/quantitativem Fokus (i.e., Banking & Finance, Mathematik, Statistik, Physik oder Informatik) oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
  • Erste relevante Berufserfahrung, vorzugsweise mit einem Hintergrund im Bereich Data Analysis/Engineering, Statistik, Investment Banking/Private Equity oder relevantem Arbeitsumfeld
  • Erste Projekterfahrung mit Excel (VBA), Kenntnisse in Python / R Markdown / SQL / PowerBI von Vorteil
  • Leidenschaft für Datenaufbereitung, -analyse und -auswertung sowie Interesse, in einem breiten Aufgabengebiet abteilungsübergreifende Projekte zu begleiten
  • Hohe Zahlenaffinität, Analysefähigkeit, Ergebnisorientierung und Lernbereitschaft
  • Fließende Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift, idealerweise gute Deutschkenntnisse
  • Selbstständige, eigenverantwortliche Arbeitsweise im Team

Your mission
  • Carrying out data analyses and summarizing financially relevant data from various departments (i.e., target/actual comparisons, KPI, etc.)
  • Preparation of forecasts and planning bases in the area of private market real estate investment strategies (private equity real estate and private debt real estate)
  • Performing backtests on raw data for analysis as well as evaluation of investment, fund and company data
  • Interdepartmental consulting and support in data collection as well as preparation of regular ad-hoc analyses for the management team
  • Increase of data quality by suitable tools as well as further development of existing collection methods and visualization of results
  • Definition of development proposals for the optimization of processes and workflows
  • Ongoing monitoring and further development of BI as well as simulation, modeling and continuous optimization of new and existing tools
Your profile
  • Degree with financial/quantitative focus (i.e., banking & finance, mathematics, statistics, physics, or computer science) or comparable qualification
  • First relevant work experience, preferably with a background in data analysis/engineering, statistics, investment banking/private equity or relevant work environment
  • First project experience with Excel (VBA), knowledge of Python / R Markdown / SQL / PowerBI an advantage
  • Passion for data preparation, analysis and evaluation as well as interest in supporting interdepartmental projects in a broad range of tasks
  • High affinity for numbers, ability to analyze, result orientation and willingness to learn
  • Very good German language skills as well as good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Independent, team-oriented working style
